Solar Financing

Many homeowners choose to finance a rooftop system instead of paying the full amount upfront. Government banks such as SBI, PNB and Bank of Baroda run rooftop solar loans from around 5.5% a year, private banks and NBFCs from around 7%, and up to 100% of the system can be funded. Vira Solar helps assemble the documents and explains the process. The rate you get, the funded share, tenure and eligibility are decided by the lender on your income and CIBIL, not by Vira Solar.

Questions

Can Vira Solar guarantee a loan?

No. Lending decisions sit with the bank or NBFC. We help with documentation and process, not credit approval.

What interest rate will I actually pay?

Government banks publish rooftop solar slabs starting around 5.5% a year and private lenders around 7%, but the rate offered to you depends on the lender, your income and your credit record. Treat the published slab as a starting point, not a promise.

Can I take a loan and the subsidy together?

Yes. The PM Surya Ghar and UPNEDA subsidy of up to ₹1,08,000 is claimed from the government portal and is separate from the bank loan. We file the subsidy application while the loan file moves with the bank.
